Cataract Surgery

Standard Lens – monofocal lens

Cataract surgery combined with a premium lens, chosen to reduce dependence on glasses afterwards.

Premium Lens (Toric, Enhanced monofocal, EDOF, Multifocal)

A toric lens implant that corrects astigmatism at the same time as removing the cataract.

Laser Treatments

Selective Laser Trabeculoplasty (SLT)

A quick, painless and drop-free laser that improves natural drainage and lowers eye pressure.

Iridotomy

Other types of laser options to manage glaucoma at different stages, from lowering pressure to treating narrow angles.

YAG Capsulotomy

A quick laser treatment that clears cloudiness behind a lens implant after cataract surgery.

Glaucoma Surgery

Minimally Invasive Glaucoma Surgery (MIGS)

Combined with cataract surgery, modern MIGS techniques gently lower eye pressure, with a smaller incision and gentler recovery. Options include iStent, ELIOS laser, Hydrus or OMNI.

Preserflo Microshunt

A tiny MIGS drainage device implanted, alongside cataract surgery, for mild to moderate glaucoma.

Trabeculectomy

A drainage channel created for fluid to leave the eye, for advanced or harder-to-control glaucoma.

Aqueous Shunt

A drainage device used for complex glaucoma that hasn’t responded to other surgery.
